ATM 2021 will afford voters an opportunity to weigh in on matters critical to the well-being and future of Truro.  Please review, become informed, and vote!

ATM Warrant includes a number of articles  within our priorities.  Several are carried over from ATM 2020, when they were deferred.  Some are new in 2021.  You can find the DRAFT Warrant here.  At the time of posting the final warrant had not been issued.

Here are the articles we have identified, organized by OneTruro’s four priority areas.  We also indicate whether these articles are aligned with our priorities, indicated by this simple key:

• Article 39 (Advisory) – Request tax transparency of Financial Articles, outside Omnibus Budget, over $50,000 –  and to show tax impact on $500,000 home – YES
• Article 40 (Advisory) – Request Project Accounting and Quarterly Reporting on total expenditures over $75,000 – would provide voters with quarterly accounting for projects which exceed $75,000 in total expenditures regardless of source(s)   – YES

[Note: Article 21 is under review by Town counsel and will be emended on the floor to simplify the proposed  process.]

SMART GROWTH is Truro’s best hope to balance our stewardship of the last rural town on the Cape with the need for a sustainable, regional economy.
